Yuschenko Poisoned But Not Defeated - See Video

According to Oleksandr Zinchenko, Viktor Yuschenko's campaign manager, the front runner in the campaign for Ukraine's presidency, was poisoned.

Yuschenko was initially diagnosed with a case of the flu by doctors in Kyiv. However, as his Yuschenko - Evropeyska Ploshcha - Kyiv - September 18, 2004condition deteriorated, his family, friends and campaign staff urged him to seek other medical advise.

On Friday, September 17, 2004, Zinchenko declared that there were reasons to believe that an attempt was made on Victor Yushchenko?s life. Zinchenko made public that diagnosis, made by doctors from the Rudolfinerhaus Austrian private hospital . After a checkup of the presidential candidate they came to the conclusion that the patient?s disease had been caused by ?severe viral infection and chemical agents contained in foods.?

A 'virtual' campaign rally was scheduled for Saturday, September 19th - satellite hook-ups to the major cities throughout Ukraine, the feed coming from a rally in Kyiv. There was concern in the Yuschenko camp that the candidate would not be well enough to participate. But he certainly did. Although, viewing the video from the event (click here for Part 1 Click here for Part 2) there seem to be residual effects from the attempt on his life.

The Deputy Head of Kuchma's administration, Baziv, cynically stated about the attempt on Yuschenko's life that Yuschenko should have food tasters before he eats anything.

It's time to put the bandits in jail.

Stay well Viktor!
